After graduating from High School in 1998 and already several years into his family business Manufacturing and Building Custom Log Homes for Southern Log Wholesalers Inc. Travis decided his years of manual labor to the point of heat exhaustion and his Father shoving salt tablets down his mouth to regain consciousness (all while kept out of school for D's on his Report Card) were going to now be his primary driving force and main motivator towards starting his own company. No stranger to hard work from the age of ten - starting a business outside of Log Home Fabrication seemed like a walk in the park. The remaining details of what would come to be known in his world of entrepreneurship were obtained in a simple 'Principles of Business’ class his freshman year of high school. After two years of college at UTC and only 11 credit hours away from earning his degree - Travis walked out of his business economics class during a lecture on “the margin of diminishing return”.

He realized the difference between himself and his professor. The Lecturer had Never created or started a business of any kind and Travis had already worked for two self-made millionaires who taught him more about hard work and the drive it takes to succeed than ANY book or course could ever reveal. You either want it or you do not. He walked out and never returned to college.

Years of back breaking manual labor and sacrifice instilled the no-quit work ethic into Travis that is reflected in each project his companies undertake today. Travis was Involved in every aspect of his father's company for over 35 years - from Operating Heavy Logging Equipment to Drafting the Floor Plans and Wall Schedules needed for the Custom Log Homes he would go on to build.

In 2003 Travis established Walden Outfitting Inc. with VERY humble beginnings. He lived in the back of his store for 5 years and poured all of his work effort into Truck Accessories, Off-Road & Diesel Performance. The first location in LaFayette was a rented space and in 2008 Travis designed and built a second location which consisted of a custom Log Showroom, Sales Office, Client Waiting Room and Three Bay Installation Shop in Rock Spring where he was now able to hi-lite and advertise the family business of Custom Pre-cut Log Homes from Southern Log Wholesalers and continue to grow his business of Truck & SUV Customization. 

By 2011 Travis was offered a position into the world of 3rd Party Logistics and Freight Brokering by Access America Transport where he quickly advanced to a Position of Executive Level Management by organically developing many highly profitable national accounts and recruiting talent to train under their successfully proven business model.

Tusco Enterprises LLC was formed In 2017 and is the Corporate Entity under which all three of his previous entrepreneurial endeavors operate; Independently Contracted Project Estimating and Supply Chain Management for the Oil & Gas Industry, Walden Outfitting Truck Accessories and Walden Log Home Construction for Southern Log Wholesalers.

For 2021, Tusco Enterprises LLC has expanded and now has all of the Federal Filings required by the U.S. Dept. of Transportation and F.M.C.S.A to provide nationwide trucking to their constantly growing customer base as a Commercially Insured Transport Partner or Privately Contracted Operations and Logistics resource for Pipeline Construction and Directional Drilling.
